Modern Blog

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and friends. For today’s look, I braved the cold and windy LA weather to showcase this gorgeous, navy Shiloh crop sweater from Hervelvetvase.com. At least the cozy, cable knit sweater kept me warmer than the red skirt I decided to pair it with.  While the bold,  bright colors and textures are quite different, I love how they compliment one another so well.  I added some accessories as well as black booties, bag and fedora to finish off the look. I hope you like it.

Hello everyone. Spring was in the air today, I was running some errands and I wanted to be comfortable but fashionable at the same time. I decided to wear this floral, sleeveless print dress with this pair of sneakers. I also added a soft pink bucket bag and these new Oliver Peoples sunglasses that I got as a surprise gift from my husband. This was the perfect outfit to run around town. I hope you like it!

Happy Holidays everyone.  Usually around this time each year I like to go through my closet to get rid of old clothes that I can donate and make room for new ones. I came across this old turtleneck sweater and orange skirt and naturally the fashion blogger in me could not help but wonder how they might look together. A brown belt here and some Dolce Vita boots there and it all came together. I hope you like it. Now I just have to get back to cleaning out my closet.

Happy Saturday everyone. I am excited to showcase this classy and feminine lace dress from ‘For Love and Lemons.’ I fell in love with the open back and lace details. This is the perfect dress for a date night or a night on the town. Here, I wore it with this pair of lace-up heels from Schutz for a little edginess. I also added this Italian Horn clutch from Vince Camuto and this beautiful ‘Blackberries’ necklace from ShinyMix to complete the look.I hope you like it.

Happy Sunday everyone. Normally I’m not a sequin type of girl, but there was something about this bomber that caught my eye. And it’s so perfect for the holiday season. While I think it would be perfect for night out combined with a dress or slacks, for this shoot, I opted for a pair of boyfriend jeans and pumps for a more relaxed daytime vibe. I hope you like it.
