Hi, everyone. I hope you’re having a great weekend! I love monochrome outfits; whether you are mixing patterns or in this case wearing them as separates, they always look great. Since I love finding ways to reinvent my wardrobe this ‘skirt’ is actually the black A-line dress I wore on my 10/21/13 post. I added this houndstooth blazer to give the look some texture and decided on these knee-high boots for a little edge. I am beginning to realize my fondness for statement necklaces and I think this one from Barbarela jewelry really brings the whole outfit up a notch. I hope you like it.
Hi everyone. For this shoot in the park I wanted to wear something comfortable & cozy. This cream, cable-knit sweater from Club Monaco definitely fit the bill. I added this chambray shirt and jeweled necklace for a look that would feel at home in the pages of a J. Crew catalogue. I finished the look with faded boyfriend jeans and grey suede boots for an overall soft and muted palette. I hope you like it.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
Hi everyone. I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend so far. For this look, I decided to pair this flannel shirt with a leather skirt for a bit of an off-beat yet chic combination. For a bit of sophistication I opted for these black Louboutin pumps. I kept the accessories to a minimum but added this half-moon handbag (worn here as a clutch) to bring out the red colors in the shirt. I hope you like it.
I have been to San Francisco a half-dozen times now and figured it was about time I made my way to the Palace of Fine Arts. The Palace and grounds are amazing and I felt like I was in Europe somewhere. There was even a full wedding going on along the swan-filled lagoon. I went with this army-green blazer, black jeans and boots. It was a little windy, so this casual look was the perfect outfit for a day of sightseeing. I hope you like it.
I finally had a chance for a long overdue weekend getaway to San Francisco. Despite getting over a cold it was so nice to walk around this beautiful city. I happened to stumble into Union Square just in time for a wonderful city-wide, Make-A-Wish Foundation celebration for a brave, 5 year old boy named Miles Scott who is battling Leukemia and also loves Batman. Thousands of people lined the streets to turn SF into Gotham City to cheer a fully costumed ‘Batkid” on as he ran with Batman and the police along the closed-off city streets. It really put things in perspective and put a smile on my face all day.
By the end of the day as the temperatures were dropping fast, I changed into my winter jacket for this shoot along the trolly lines. I felt the knit sweater and shirt needed something extra and so I added this beautiful statement necklace from Barbarela jewelery. Since I always like to mix casual with chic I went with these lighter-wash jeans and Louboutin pumps. I hope you like it.
